Hi im new to the USI forums but i have been following your game for awhile now. may i say your doing a great job on .15 and i cant wait for your release. My suggestion is that you use the Project Reality's smoke effects for the tanks. i am a big player of PR and this effect really adds to the realism of a battle and makes it more intense. with USI's tank battles i think this effect would be perfect.
I also think that using PRs helicopter physics would be a nice thing. they made all of their missles faster like in RL and the helicopters fly faster without totally dipping their nose all the way to the ground like in vinilla.
either way I think you guys are doing a great job and you can expect to see me on the servers for .15 :)

I've flown helos in PR.. crashed every time... I hate them :)

nah! not in general.
the cobra handling is absolutely perfect in PR i think. very fast and cool to fly with high speed but also very accurate while hovering.
but i don't like the transport-choppa handling :ugly:

well PR has to fix the transport, but what is your take on the Tank effects?

I've reworked a bunch of effects for .15 so expect some nice effects.
Actually the tank smoke isnt there but theres a huge flash. Will think about the smoke though :)

Hey wolfi you know what would be cool?..........when a tank fires its main cannon a shockwave is emmitted.It appears that all the dust from every surface of the tank just kinda flys off showing the actual concussion of the blast.
If we could even duplicate this in part it would be neato.

I think the effects are great but there are 2 effects that are amazing. One is a Smoke trail from rockets. Looks amazing. The other roams around Operation Hogsmoke and Battle of 73 Eastings. I'll let you discover them on your own.

Actually the dust around the tank is being "pulled" up from the ground.
You just dont notice it that much because it happens really quick.. ;)
Or did you notice the 90 ft. sized flash around the tank when the main cannon is being fired?

Can the turret noises be changed to noises like in Project Reality,like when the Abrams,and bradley fire...The 50cal. in USI sounds pretty good already,but I'd like to see hand held weapons not sound like AA guns.(Pretty much U.S. weapons sound like that.)Also will the LAV-25 or M113 ever be added in?Also some night maps/Basrah Streets at night would be awesome.And just a quick observation check,are the vehicles in USI going to be like PR,except without kits?Because in the latest .15 trailer,the T-75 that is blown up while driving through Ejod has no turret movement,just curoius.

LAV and M113 and much more already have been showed off a while back. They are planned for .2 (not .15).

Well,I see the M113 being added,because it's a U.S. ARMY vehicle,but the LAV-25 is a USMC vehicle,so will that like be a Joint Task vehicle,the Marines are lending the ARMY?

.2 will feature new armies, marines and republican guards :D, we will also move to the other front of the war, us army and iraqi army fought the first phase, the ground assault and came in from saudi, .2 will focus on the approach the the persian gulf.
